Sabbassa so dāmhi vā

Optionally, when ‘dā’ follows, [there is] ‘sa’ of “sabba”.

[Sabbassa + so + dāmhi + vā = 4 words]

Sabba icc etassa sakārādeso hoti vā dāmhi paccaye pare.

Sadā, sabbadā.

Optionally, when ‘dā’ follows, [there is] ‘sa’ of “sabba”.
Optionally, when the suffix ‘dā’ follows, “sabba” is substituted by ‘sa’.
  1. Sadā = sabba + dā (‘dā’ is used in the meaning of the seventh inflection to indicate time (§257); “sabba” is substituted by ‘sa’ (§260)).
