229. 226. Sesesu ca (457)

[Sesesu + ca = 2 words]

Kim icc etassa ko hoti sesesu vibhattipaccayesu paresu.

Ko pakāro, kathaṃ, kaṃ pakāraṃ, kathaṃ.

Caggahaṇam anukaḍḍhanatthaṃ.

And when the remaining ones follow.
When the remaining inflections and suffixes follow, “kiṃ” becomes “ka”.
  1. Ko pakāro (what manner?), kathaṃ (how); kaṃ pakāraṃ (what manner), kathaṃ (how):
    • Ko = kiṃ + si (“kiṃ” is substituted by “ka” (§229); ‘si’ is substituted by ‘o’ (§104)).
    • Kaṃ = kiṃ + aṃ (“kiṃ” is substituted by “ka” (§229); ‘a’ is elided (§83)).
    • Kathaṃ = kiṃ + thaṃ (“kiṃ” is substituted by “ka” (§229)).

The taking of “ca” is for dragging.

Without the footnotes: they are on the chapter card.
