Caggahaṇam anukaḍḍhanatthaṃ.

And when ‘tra’, ‘to’ and ‘tha’ follow.
When ‘tra’, ‘to’ and ‘tha’ follow, “kiṃ” becomes “ku”.
  1. Kutra = kiṃ + tra (“kiṃ” is substituted by “ku” (§230)).
  2. Kuto = kiṃ + to (“kiṃ” is substituted by “ku” (§230)).
  3. Kuttha = kiṃ + tha (“kiṃ” is substituted by “ku” (§230); ‘t’ is doubled (§28)).

The taking of “ca” is for dragging.

Without the footnotes: they are on the chapter card.
