Yo karoti sa kattā

The one who does, he is “kattā”.

281. 294. Yo karoti sa kattā (548)

[Yo + karoti + so + kattā = 4 words]

Yo karoti, so kattusañño hoti.

Ahinā daṭṭho naro; garuḷena hato nāgo. Buddhena jito Māro; Upaguttena Māro bandho.

Kattu icc anena kvattho? Kattari ca.

The one who does, he is “kattā”.
The one who does has the name “subject”.
  1. Ahinā daṭṭho naro (the man is bitten by the snake).
  2. Garuḷena hato nāgo (the serpent was killed by the garuḷa).
  3. Buddhena jito Māro (Māra was defeated by the Buddha).
  4. Upaguttena Māro bandho (Māra was bound by Upagutta).

What is the use of the name “kattu” (subject)? For the use of the name “kattu” in the sutta “Kattari ca” (§288). And in the subject [the third inflection].
