247. 261. Tvādayo vibhattisaññāyo (492)

[To-ādayo + vibhattisaññāyo = 2 words]

To ādi yesaṃ paccayānaṃ, te honti tvādayo. Te paccayā tvādayo vibhattisaññā ’va daṭṭhabbā.

Sabbato, yato, tato, kuto, ato, ito, sabbadā, yadā, tadā, kadā, idha, idāni.

Those beginning with ‘to’ are named “inflections”.
The suffixes beginning with ‘to’ are [called] ‘tvādi’. These suffixes ‘tvādi’ are to be regarded as “inflections”.
  1. Sabbato = sabba + to.
  2. Yato = ya + to.
  3. Tato = ta + to.
  4. Kuto = kiṃ + to (“kiṃ” is substituted by “ku” (§230)).
  5. Ato = eta + to (“eta” is substituted by ‘a’ (§231)).
  6. Ito = ima + to (“ima” is substituted by ‘i’ (§234)).
  7. Sabbadā = sabba + dā.
  8. Yadā = ya + dā.
  9. Tadā = ta + dā.
  10. Kadā = kiṃ + dā (“kiṃ” is substituted by “ka” (“ca” of §227)).
  11. Idha = ima + dha (“ima” is substituted by ‘i’ (§234)).
  12. Idāni = ima + dāni (“ima” is substituted by ‘i’ (§234)).
