Sabbesaṃ tumha-amhasaddānaṃ savibhattīnaṃ tavaṃ-mamaṃ icc ete ādesā honti navā yathāsaṅkhyaṃ aṃmhi vibhattimhi.
Tavaṃ, mamaṃ passati.
Navā ti kimatthaṃ? Taṃ, maṃ passati.
Caggahaṇam anukaḍḍhanatthaṃ.
- Tavaṃ = tumha + aṃ (“tumha” together with the inflection ‘aṃ’ is substituted by “tavaṃ” (§144)).
- Mamaṃ = amha + aṃ (“amha” together with the inflection ‘aṃ’ is substituted by “mamaṃ” (§144)).
What is the purpose of saying “occasionally”? [To exclude the cases in which this rule does not apply, such as in] taṃ, maṃ passati.
“Ca” is for dragging.
Without the footnotes: they are on the chapter card.
