Read in the chapter →141. 241. Tava-mama se
Sabbesaṃ tumha-amhasaddānaṃ savibhattīnaṃ tava mama icc ete ādesā honti yathāsaṅkhyaṃ se vibhattimhi.
Tava, mama.
Se ti kimatthaṃ? Tayi, mayi.
- Tava = tumha + sa (“tumha” together with the inflection ‘sa’ is substituted by “tava” (§141)).
- Mama = amha + sa (“amha” together with the inflection ‘sa’ is substituted by “mama” (§141)).
What is the purpose of saying “when the inflection ‘sa’ follows”? [This sutta does not apply when ‘sa’ does not follow, such as in] tayi, mayi.
Without the footnotes: they are on the chapter card.
