Su-hisv akāro e

When ‘su’ and ‘hi’ follow, ‘a’ [becomes] ‘e’.

[Su-hisu + akāro + e = 3 words]

Su hi icc etesu akāro ettam āpajjate.

Sabbesu, yesu, tesu, kesu, purisesu, imesu, kusalesu, tumhesu, amhesu; sabbehi, yehi, tehi, kehi, purisehi, imehi, kusalehi, tumhehi, amhehi.

When ‘su’ and ‘hi’ follow, ‘a’ [becomes] ‘e’.
When ‘su’ and ‘hi’ follow, ‘a’ becomes ‘e’.
  1. Sabbesu = sabba + su (‘a’ becomes ‘e’ (§101)).
  2. Sabbehi = sabba + hi (‘a’ becomes ‘e’ (§101)).
  3. The formation of the rest of the examples is similar to the previous one.
