Yad anupapannā nipātanā sijjhanti

391. 423. Yad anupapannā nipātanā sijjhanti (830)

[Yaṃ + anupapannā + nipātanā + sijjhanti = 4 words]

Ye saddā aniddiṭṭhalakkhaṇā akkhara-pada-byañjanato, itthi-puma-napuṃsakaliṅgato, nām’-upasagga-nipātato, abyayībhāvasamāsa-taddhit’-ākhyātato, gaṇana-saṅkhyā-kāla-kāraka-ppayoga-saññāto, sandhi-pakati-vuddhi-lop’-āgama-vikāra-viparītato, vibhattivibhajanato ca, te nipātanā sijjhanti.

Those [words] not mentioned are accomplished by means of this [sutta].
Those words whose aphorisms have not been shown –(1) by way of letters, words and consonants; (2) by way of feminine, masculine and neuter gender; (3) by way of nouns, prefixes and particles; (4) by way of adverbial compounds (abyayībhāva-samāsa), secondary derivatives (taddhita) and verbs (ākhyāta); (5) by way of enumeration (gaṇana), number (saṅkhyā), time (kāla), case (kāraka), example (payoga) and denomination (saññā); (6) by way of sandhi, natural form (pakati), strengthening (vuddhi), elision (lopa), insertion (āgama), change (vikāra) and reversal (viparīta); (7) and by way of the division of the inflections–, those are accomplished by means of this sutta (nipātana).
