Catūpapadassa lopo t’ uttarapadādicassa cu co pi navā
[There is] elision of ‘tu’ of the preceding member “catu”, and also, occasionally, [there are] ‘cu’ and ‘co’ of ‘ca’, which is at the beginning of the following member.

Catūpapadassa gaṇane pariyāpannassa tukārassa lopo hoti, uttarapadādi-cakārassa cu co pi ādesā honti navā.
Cuddasa (D. i, 50; M. ii, 187), coddasa, catuddasa.
Apiggahaṇena anupapadassā pi padādi-cakārassa lopo hoti navā, cassa cu co pi honti. Tālīsaṃ, cattālīsaṃ (D. i, 12), cuttālīsaṃ, cottālīsaṃ.
- Cuddasa, coddasa, catuddasa (fourteen).
By taking “api”, occasionally, even though it is not the preceding member, there is elision of the letter ‘ca’, which is the beginning of the word, and there are also ‘cu’ and ‘co’ of ‘ca’.
- Tālīsaṃ, cattālīsaṃ, cuttālīsaṃ, cottālīsaṃ (forty).
