Maṇḍit’-ussukkesu tatiyā

[Maṇḍita-ussukkesu + tatiyā = 2 words]

Maṇḍita ussukka icc etesv atthesu tatiyāvibhatti hoti, sattamī ca.

Ñāṇena pasīdito, ñāṇasmiṃ vā pasīdito; ñāṇena ussukko, ñāṇasmiṃ vā ussukko Tathāgato vā tathāgatagotto vā.

The third [inflection] with “maṇḍita” (clear) and “ussukka” (zeal).
In the meanings of “maṇḍita” (clear) and of “ussukka” (zeal), there is the third inflection and also the seventh [inflection].
  1. Ñāṇena pasīdito, ñāṇasmiṃ vā pasīdito (clear by understanding or clear in understanding).
  2. Ñāṇena ussukko, ñāṇasmiṃ vā ussukko Tathāgato vā tathāgatagotto vā (the Tathāgata, or one belonging to the clan of the Tathāgata, is energetic by understanding or energetic in understanding).
