307. 290. Tatiyā-sattamīnañ ca (589)

[Tatiyā-sattamīnaṃ + ca = 2 words]

Tatiyā-sattamīnaṃ atthe ca kvaci dutiyāvibhatti hoti.

Sace maṃ samaṇo Gotamo ālapissati (S. i, 179); tvañ ca maṃ n’ ābhibhāsasi (Khu. vi, 359). Evaṃ tatiyatthe.

Pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā (Vin. i, 7; iii, 48; D. ii, 75; M. i, 118); ekaṃ samayaṃ Bhagavā (D. i, 1). Evaṃ sattamyatthe.

And [in the meaning] of the third and of the seventh [inflection].
Sometimes there is also the second inflection in the meaning of the third and of the seventh [inflection].
  1. Sace maṃ samaṇo Gotamo ālapissati (if the ascetic Gotama speaks to me).
  2. Tvañ ca maṃ n’ ābhibhāsasi (and you will not talk with me).

Thus in the meaning of the third [inflection].

  1. Pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā (having put on the lower robe in the early morning).
  2. Ekaṃ samayaṃ Bhagavā (on one occasion the Blessed One).

Thus in the meaning of the seventh [inflection].
