149. 248. Na aṃmhi (327)

[Na + aṃmhi = 2 words]

Sabbesaṃ tumha-amhasaddānaṃ savibhattīnaṃ yadā padasmā paresaṃ te-me-ādesā na honti aṃmhi vibhattimhi.

Passeyya taṃ vassasataṃ arogaṃ (Khu. vi, 14); so maṃ bravīti.

When ‘aṃ’ follows, no [change].
When the inflection ‘aṃ’ follows, the whole words “tumha” and “amha”, when they come after a word, together with the inflections, are not substituted by “te” and “me”.
  1. Taṃ = tumha + aṃ (here “tumha” together with the inflection ‘aṃ’ is not substituted by “te”, but by “taṃ” (§143)).
  2. Maṃ = amha + aṃ (here “amha” together with the inflection ‘aṃ’ is not substituted by “me”, but by “maṃ” (§143)).

“Passeyya taṃ vassasataṃ arogaṃ” (may you see him in health for a hundred years).

“So maṃ bravīti” (he speaks to me).

Without the footnotes: they are on the chapter card.
