Raññaṃ naṃmhi vā

[Raññaṃ + naṃmhi + vā = 3 words]

Sabbass’ eva rājasaddassa savibhattissa raññaṃ-ādeso hoti vā naṃmhi vibhattimhi.

Raññaṃ, rājūnaṃ (Khu. i, 88) idaṃ raṭṭhaṃ.

Optionally, when ‘naṃ’ follows, “raññaṃ”.
Optionally, when the inflection ‘naṃ’ follows, the whole word “rāja” together with the inflection is substituted by “raññaṃ”.
  1. Raññaṃ = rāja + naṃ (“rāja” together with the inflection ‘naṃ’ is substituted by “raññaṃ” (§136)).
