Visese tara-tam’-isik’-iy’-iṭṭhā

In [the meaning of] distinction, [there are] ‘tara’, ‘tama’, ‘isika’, ‘iya’, ‘iṭṭha’.

[Visese + tara-tama-isika-iya-iṭṭhā = 2 words]

Visesatthe tara tama isika iya iṭṭha icc ete paccayā honti.

Sabbe ime pāpā, ayam imesaṃ visesena pāpo ti pāpataro (JA. i, 174). Evaṃ pāpatamo, pāpisiko, pāpiyo (Khu. i, 24; JA. i, 174), pāpiṭṭho.

In the meaning of distinction (visesa), there are the suffixes ‘tara’, ‘tama’, ‘isika’, ‘iya’, ‘iṭṭha’.
  1. Sabbe ime pāpā, ayam imesaṃ visesena pāpo ti pāpataro (all these are evil; this one, among them, is especially evil: the more evil one). Likewise: pāpatamo, pāpisiko, pāpiyo, pāpiṭṭho.
