Saddhādito ṇa

After “saddhā” (faith) and others, [there is] ‘ṇa’.

370. 405. Saddhādito ṇa (795)

[Saddhā-ādito + ṇa = 2 words]

Saddhā icc evamādito ṇapaccayo hoti “tad ass’ atthi” icc etasmiṃ atthe.

Saddhā yassa atthi, tasmiṃ vā vijjatī ti saddho (A. i, 148). Evaṃ pañño (Khu. i, 64), amaccharo.

After “saddhā” (faith) and others, [there is] ‘ṇa’.
After “saddhā” (faith) and others, there is the suffix ‘ṇa’ in this meaning: “there is this of him”.
  1. Saddhā yassa atthi, tasmiṃ vā vijjatī ti saddho (there is faith of/in him, or [faith] exists in him: one who has faith/a faithful one).

Likewise:

  1. Paññā yassa atthi, tasmiṃ vā vijjatī ti pañño (there is wisdom of/in him: a wise one).
  2. Amaccharaṃ yassa atthi, tasmiṃ vā vijjatī ti amaccharo (there is absence of avarice of/in him, or [absence of avarice] exists in him: one who is not avaricious).
